WHATEVER HAPPENED TO…the hypnotist
specializing in weight-loss?

Rena Greenberg, who hypnotizes weight-loss audiences at University Community Hospital, is reaching out to smokers with the same message. You, too, can control your cravings.
Held in hospital settings for about 50 participants at each session, Smoking Cessation begins with a free orientation where Greenberg explains the conflict between the conscious and subconscious parts of the mind and how hypnosis works to resolve this conflict. Then, for $69, the participants receive a take-home tool kit and go through two distinct hypnotic experiences meant to break their negative mental programming.
“Smokers leave feeling like they no longer desire cigarettes, and fully embody their new self-image a nonsmoker,” Greenberg said.
She’s also taken her program to workplace settings, and has a book deal with McGraw-Hill.
Whether it’s to lost weight or kick the smoking habit, Greenberg said her mission is the same: “I want to help people discover the fact that change from harmful cravings is absolutely possible.”
