"Do Yukon gold potatoes raise one's glucose levels, are they ok to eat when dieting?"

Asked Karen.

That is a great question.

To answer this, I need to share with you my purpose in the work I do.

My goal is to help people, using my hypnosis program and my entire weight loss system(s), to connect to the inner wisdom of their own bodies.

My goal is to empower you to know what’s best for you and then have the strength and will to follow that.

It would be very easy for me to give you an intellectual yes or no answer to your question.

But here’s the problem with that . . . If you asked 10 “experts,” you’d probably get 5 to tell you how healthy potatoes are (Yukon gold or otherwise) and the other 5 to tell you to avoid them because they’ll raise your glucose levels.

That’s why there’s so much confusion when it comes to weight loss, and people tend to just throw their hands up and give up.

But there is a solution and that is learning what works for you personally and following that wisdom.

Yukon Gold Potatoes & Your Body...

In the long run, for permanent weight loss and health, I believe that we have to listen to our own bodies.

My philosophy is this:

Avoid and eliminate all triggers.

It’s possible that Yukon gold potatoes are a trigger for you, in which case, I advise you to avoid them.

But most likely they are not.

Typically triggers are processed foods.

So, for me, Yukon gold potatoes (like most complex carbs) are a food that I would eat in moderation and balanced with healthy fat, lots of fresh veggies, and high-quality protein.

It's all about balance...

So if I had a meal with just protein and vegetables, then perhaps the dessert or snack I would select later would be a couple of slices of potato with cheddar cheese, for example.

I find that it’s all about balance and eliminating triggers. And listening to your body!

Diet is a 4-letter Word...

I don’t like the word “dieting” either.

Subconsciously, dieting leads to deprivation, because it makes you think of everything you can’t have.

The minute you go on a diet, what are you waiting for ?

You are waiting for it to end.

Instead, I like to think of healthy eating as a wonderful, empowering lifestyle that you are choosing, because you are excited about all the benefits.

Food is medicine and the cleaner and healthier you eat, the more you can look forward to feeling better mentally, physically, and emotionally.

The lighter you feel, the happier you can feel.

So instead of the dreaded “diet,” it’s much more fun to look forward to feeling, lighter, healthier, happier, younger, free-er and more alive!

The key to success is always exist in  your mindset.

Practicing self-hypnosis helps you tap into the power of your mind so that you intuitively know what's best for you and trust that.

Ultimately, you have to learn to trust yourself because there is no "expert" out there who really knows your body than you.

And the reason we hear so much conflicting advice about what is healthy to eat is because there's not one eating plan that works for everybody. Literally, one man's meat is another man's poison.

With desire, intention, and focus, you can get the clarity you need so that knowing the foods that are best for you and making those choices that are healthiest for you, becomes second nature.

I hope that helps!
